Gibraltar rumoured to announce 2014 Estonia friendlies

Gibraltar are expected to confirm 2 friendlies with Estonia in the coming weeks after speculation about such fixtures arose in the Baltic nation’s press. The GFA joined UEFA in May and according to Estonian newspaper Postimees both associations met on June 5th to discuss 2 potential matches in 2014.

It’s believed that the Estonians will travel to Gibraltar for a game at the Victoria Stadium on March 5th before the non-FIFA side head to Tallinn for a return fixture on May 26th. Since joining UEFA in May the Gibraltarians are yet to announce any friendlies with fellow members.

The British overseas territory is expected to make their competitive debut in the Euro 2016 qualifiers which begin in the autumn of 2014.
